Don't be afraid your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin. Grace Hansen
"It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it." Aristotle
"A nation or civilization that continues to produce soft-minded men purchases its
own spiritual death on an installment plan." Martin Luther King, Jr
If Dreams Came True
If dreams came true then I would ride upon the wind so free And there
would be no sickness to trouble you and me. The lame would walk and beggars ride, the lonely would have friends; To all those people that we've hurt, we'd smile and make amends.
If dreams came true then
mothers' sons would never go to war And we would all be wondering what torpedoes are used for. We would melt down all the guns and turn them into hoes All our brothers would be fed from things our garden grows.
If dreams came true the blind would see, the bigot love his brother; We would all use gentle hands in helping one another. Every day would bring new hope, there would be no sorrow
And children would grow up with joy to face each new tomorrow.
"The man who foolishly does me wrong, I will return to him the protection of my ungrudging love; and the more evil comes from him, the more good shall go from me." Buddha
"Only in quiet waters do things mirror themselves undistorted. Only in a quiet mind is adequate perception of the world." Hans Margolius
"People take different roads seeking fulfillment and happiness. Just because they're not on your road doesn't mean they've gotten lost." H. Jackson Browne
"The grace of God means something like: Here is your life. You might never have been, but you are because the party wouldn't have been complete without you. Here is the world. Beautiful and
terrible things will happen. Don't be afraid. I am with you. Nothing can ever separate us. It's for you I created the universe. I love you. There's only one catch. Like any other gift, the gift of grace can
be yours only if you'll reach out and take it. Maybe being able to reach out and take it is a gift too." Frederick Buechner
"For one human being to love another: that is perhaps the most difficult of our tasks; the ultimate, the last test and proof, the work for which all other work is but preparation." Rainer Maria Rilke
The more you give, the more you get -- The more you laugh, the less you fret -- The more you do UNSELFISHLY, The more you live ABUNDANTLY.
The more of everything you share, The more you'll always have to spare -- The more you love, the more you'll find That life is good and friends are kind . . .
For only WHAT WE GIVE AWAY, ENRICHES US FROM DAY TO DAY
"What most people need to learn in life is how to love people and use things instead of using people and loving things."
The most wonderful of all things in life, I believe, is the discovery of another human being with whom one's relationship has a glowing depth, beauty, and joy as the years increase. This inner
progressiveness of love between two human beings is a most marvelous thing, it cannot be found by looking for it or by passionately wishing for it. It is a sort of Divine accident. Sir Hugh Walpoe
Jimmy's Soapbox
First of all dear friends let me say that I don't think love is an accident. I do however think its Divine.
There is Divine love, the force which upholds all that is and is that portion which All That Is gave freely of itself to support creation. There is also the thing we call human love, which seems to come
in varying degrees and is best thought of as a feeling and a knowing.
Everyone talks of love, uses the word, but how often do we really think about what we mean when
we say "I love you". I've been thinking about just that lately and I find its similar to the description of Divine love. When we give a part of ourselves freely and without hesitation then we begin to
understand and feel what love really is as a force. The force of love seeks to allow freedom of choice while at the same time supporting that which is loved.
For decades I sought to understand how one human being could consciously give their life for another without fear or regret. I thought at first it was an act of bravery. I know now that bravery is
just a human description of an action. Finally I KNOW. I have my answer and it is simply a true expression of love which empowers us to walk the path which supports anothers journey and in so
doing enriches our own time here. When we do things from a position of love there is nothing to be forgiven because there is no action that is not supportive of the person we love. Its not bravery,
morality or any other human trait you care to pick, its simply the only acceptable choice that can be made from a loving position.
Thank you for teaching me that Terri...
With great gratitude to All That Is for all that is.
All good things to you according to your beliefs:
